You know, as I was reading through the essays you've produced here, I couldn't help but say to myself 'I feel my eyes are opening' and every paragraph I poured over only further reinforced that feeling in me. Even on a single matter as TS I can find a lot of sense in the words you write regarding lots and lots of things about Christianity.
You have a way with addressing issues of the Church [not God's teachings themselves, however, which aren't flawed] that are firm but emphasise the goodness that is present in the Christian religion that I can only applaude. Being a year 12 student myself, I can't help but liken you to the not yet cannonized saint our studies of religions class had learnt about, Hildegard von Bingen. Her approach to holistic health worked in conjunction with her plight to correct immoralities and injustices that were present during her times in the 12th century. Her success as a herbologist and remedial healer is made apparent today, when many of her findings were rediscovered through modern science and research. Unfortunately when she was burnt as a witch during times of the Inquisition, many of her works were destroyed. Some works did survive however and act as physical evidence of her strives to better her world, such as letters to important religious leaders and emperoros, and books on remedial therapy and the cosmos. Again, it makes me think of how much alike her you are, even more-so that you are a professional in the field of medicene =) Healing is a strong symbol.
I'd just like to finish with great thanks to the inspiration you have given me and for providing me the knowledge of a rather hidden matter. I'd have not discovered any other way else. Its uncovered a lot of things I'd always inquired about, but I admit was too scared to ask of.
Thank you.
Emily.
